Michael C. Duffey

Michael Duffey is an associate at Chaiken Ghali LLP.  He focuses his practice on government investigations, white collar defense, and business litigation matters.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Duffey served as a law clerk to U.S. Circuit Judge Nancy G. Abudu of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and to U.S. District Judge Mark H. Cohen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and he worked as a litigation associate at an AmLaw 50 law firm.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from Georgia State University, where he graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the law review.

Before and during law school, Mr. Duffey worked as a police officer with the City of Atlanta Police Department, assigned to the patrol, tactical field operations, and burglary investigations units.  He was the valedictorian of his Atlanta Police Academy class.
